First of all, I HAVE EXCITING NEWS! I have been asked to staff the upcoming October Classic DTS! YAHOO!!! This means that I will be staffing 32 students from around the world with 9 other staff members. This also means that I will be leading an outreach somewhere around the world for two months! I AM SO EXCITED YOU GUYS!!!
OKAY, IT IS TIME TO TESTIFY ABOUT THE GOODNESS OF GOD!!!
Last week we hosted a Winter Evangelism Conference at YWAM Queenstown that was open to the public. We focused on equipping the Church to go out and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus with boldness, and to invade the shred culture that is so prevalent here in Queenstown. On Saturday night of our Winter Evangelism Conference, we invited people that we met that week from town to come to our base. A couple of my friends invited a guy they met named Ben. Ben was born in Queenstown and has lived here his whole life, and he came into our base with crutches from an injury. On Saturday night I was leading worship with the team and someone came up to the microphone to share that they felt God was releasing faith in the room for the impossible. Everyone started gathering around one another and started praying for miracles... IT WAS AMAZING YOU GUYS!!! Someone got healed from chronic headaches, someone's knees got healed from a snowboarding accident, AND BEN GOT COMPLETELY HEALED!!! YOU GUYS!!!! He started jumping up and down in the back of the room WITHOUT ANY CRUTCHES! The presence of God hit my heart. I started crying because I was so happy. God just wants to reveal His goodness to EVERYONE! Ben GAVE HIS LIFE to Jesus at the end of the night!!! HALLELUJAH! He tasted and saw that the Lord is good.

Many of you are wondering what I actually do on staff here at YWAM Queenstown. The DTS that I am staffing starts October 1st, and my staff training begins September 4th. This means that my schedule will completely change in a week! BUT, below I have a little doodle of my daily schedule at the base and what I have been doing every day for the past two months.
So, this is what I've been up to...
I am leading the coffee ministry here at YWAM Queenstown. This means that when our schools go out into Queenstown for evangelism, I bring my little coffee cart! I set up my stand right on the lake and hand out free coffee to people! The students of the current Snowboard DTS get to join, and I get to encourage them to step out and trust the Holy Spirit when they are meeting new people. The coffee ministry has been such an amazing opportunity to start conversations, as most of them ask me why we are handing out free coffee and cookies to people. WOAH! We just want to bless people's socks off! Who doesn't like a free cup of coffee or tea, especially when it's so chilly outside (it's winter here!) I have had some awesome conversations with people who are so hungry for love, and their hearts are craving the Gospel of Jesus Christ! IT IS SO COOL

I am also on "lunch prep," meaning I cook lunch for almost 100 people with about three others. I am learning a lot in the kitchen; how to dice an onion correctly, how to use a heavy duty kitchen emulsifier, and don't forget to season your food as you go! I go grocery shopping in the morning so that we have everything we need for the day. It is really fun. I also prep "morning tea" for everyone - that means that I get to make coffee and snacks! I LOVE BOTH OF THOSE THINGS!!! AND, I am still in charge of base laundry, so I am keeping things FRESH AND TIDY! HALLELUJAH!
ALSO... YOU GUYS!!! I HAVE BEEN HELPING WITH LEADING WORSHIP! WHAT ON EARTH! I am now a part of the worship team and my heart is bursting!!! I am still learning confidence behind a microphone and learning how to be bold in the song that I bring to the Lord. It has been an overwhelming experience for me, as I have been dreaming about these moments for quite some time now.
I have also been doing some graphic design work for the Winter Evangelism Conference and YWAM Queenstown's Instagram page. This has been the bees knees for me because I really enjoy creating things that are aesthetically beautiful! I also got to shoot one of my friend's engagement photos here in Queenstown. I attached a couple below. I am doing the things that I LOVE and that make me COME ALIVE!
