Living in a college dorm on campus, going to class every day, and turning in rambling essays didn't look anything like the promise God had given me in my mind. I didn't want to come back to University this year. AT ALL! I felt like I lost the dream God had planted deep in my heart. Was I missing something?
I don't know about you, but I want the REAL THING. I want to see the life of the gospel in FRONT OF ME like it was laid out in the Bible.
Do you understand what's required of you? Are you willing to die? Are you hungry? Are you thirsty? Are you willing to look like a fool? Are you ready to dream again?
The question burned inside me: If you are not willing to trail blaze, take impossible risks, and step out in crazy faith at Colorado Christian University, what makes you think that you will when you get to the nations?
HAHAHAH WHAT GOD, YES.
I have a dream that every worker at King Soopers (the local grocery store) will know who Jesus is because so many students went in to tell them. That the church of Scientology next door to our campus will be so tired of students coming to love on them that they'll have to ask us questions about the God we serve. That deception and scheming behind closed doors on campus will be turned into plots against the enemy. That the athletes who get injured will be healed of all of their broken ankles, torn ACLs, and back pain. That depression and anxiety will cease and the joy of the Lord will be the standard of abundant life. That all of the construction workers here on campus will know they are loved by God.
I was excited. God has big dreams stirring in His heart FOR COLORADO CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY! To all my fellow students, there is a purpose for you far greater than attaining a college degree, going to church on Sundays, and finding your spouse. THANK THE LORD that we are chosen to KNOW GOD and REPRESENT JESUS and the FULLNESS OF THE GOSPEL to the world, and Lakewood, Colorado.
